safeTALK is a 3-hour suicide alertness training that prepares anyone age 15+ to become a suicide-alert helper. Many individuals experiencing thoughts of suicide are ambivalent and communicate invitations for help through their words and behaviors. safeTALK-trained participants learn to recognize these signals and connect individuals to life-saving resources, including caregivers trained in ASIST. π§ π€![]()
By the end of the training, participants will be able to:![]()
β’ Challenge attitudes that inhibit open conversations about suicide
β’ Recognize when someone may be experiencing thoughts of suicide
β’ Ask directly and clearly about suicide
β’ Listen in a way that shows concerns are taken seriously
β’ Connect the person quickly to trained suicide intervention support![]()

Learn how to support friends, family, and neighbors. Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) equips you to identify, understand, and respond to signs of mental health and substance use challenges in adults so you can step in with confidence when it matters most.![]()
Through this training, participants will build practical skills to recognize symptoms, respond to acute needs, and connect individuals to appropriate resources. This initiative is designed to strengthen rural communities, including healthcare teams, long term care staff, and community service providers.![]()
